Now I'm a....Capricorn?!
With the latest discovery of a 13th Zodiac sign, I, like I am sure many other American citizens, am flabbergasted. Having been born on January 30 and always thinking I was an Aquarius, I am now being told as I near my 34th year on this planet under the celestial stars that I am, in fact, a Capricorn.
Here is the new breakdown that some astrologers have always been privy to and believe as accurate:
ARIES = APRIL 19 - MAY 13
TAURUS = MAY 14 - JUNE 19
GEMINI = JUNE 20 - JULY 20
CANCER = JULY 21 - AUG 9
LEO = AUGUST 10 - SEPTEMBER 15
VIRGO = SEPTEMBER 16 - OCTOBER 30
LIBRA = OCTOBER 31 - NOVEMBER 22
SCORPIO = NOVEMBER 23 - NOVEMBER 29
OPHIUCHUS = NOVEMBER 30 - DECEMBER 17
SAGITTARIUS = DECEMBER 18 - JANUARY 18
CAPRICORN = JANUARY 19 - FEBRUARY 15
AQUARIUS = FEBRUARY 16 - MARCH 11
PISCES = MARCH 12 - APRIL 18
This means everyone in my family has a new astrological sign. I don't know if I can cope with that. Did we not all notice that Scorpio (my son's new sign) only covers 7 days? I guess if you ever share a birthday with the American Thanksgiving you are now partnered with the astrological spider..
I don't know what to think of this. I has always cried out, "This is my song!" when Fifth Dimension's "Age of Aquarius" played on the radio and on TV. Does this mean I am no longer relatable to it? I don't read horoscopes (and truthfully, always thought myself more of a Pisces), but still, I am heartbroken to discover this news. And then, to think my sister got herself a Pisces tattoo when she was in her late teens...Oh, wait, with the new breakdown, she's still a Pisces: whew! Lucky her.
Why was it released now? NBC states because of the earth's changing alignment, the dates of the zodiac signs have changed....I will have to check out the deal with Scorpio, though.
According to ganeshaspeaks.com, a Capricorn is a workaholic (okay, I like to get the job done...but, I don't know if I'd call myself a "workaholic"...), cold and snobbish, lusty, and makes loyal friends (eh, not really on these...then again, I think I do appear to be cold and snobbish to people at times), is patient (not at all!), thin (I wish!), and have allergies (..well, maybe to lactose). These are just a few of the things Ganesha mentions in her (his?) details of a Capricorn. I don't really relate with these qualities. And I never liked the name, Capricorn. Blech!
